I hope you're all doing well and have had a great summer week filled with warm weather! It's been a little TOO warm here, but I'm making the most of our pool! Today I wanted to talk about a classic summer staple, the beauty of it's versatility, and how I'm styling it myself! It's the LWD, otherwise known as the Little White Dress! It's the perfect summer appropriate alternative to the LBD. A little white dress will never go out of style and it makes you look a little more tan, which we could all use this time of year! A LWD is essentially a blank canvas for endless outfit combinations! Here's how I styled my LWD:
My particular LWD is from Hope Avenue Boutique! It's the perfect white denim, pinafore style with a gorgeous frayed hem. Button-up dresses and frayed hems have been very in this season, so this dress ticks all the right boxes! If you don't already have a white dress in your arsenal you definitely need one, and this dress is a perfect pick!
Since this dress is a sleeveless pinafore style, it would be perfect to just wear on it's own in this heat, but I wanted to add a little color and fun to my outfit. I achieved that with this little polkadot tee from Zara! I just think the layering and pattern add the perfect contrast to the white denim!
The a-line shape of my LWD gave me some 60s vibes so I decided to run with that by pairing it with my gorgeous pink sock boots! These taller ankle boots give a nod to the 60s and tie in the pink of the tee as well. I'm not sure I'll ever get sick of these boots!
To finish off my outfit, I wanted to tie in the black polkadots and dark buttons on the dress, and my black Gucci bag seemed to be the perfect option! The black, white, and pink color combo also added to the mod style of the outfit.
So how are you going to style you're LWD this summer? Comment down below and tag me if you take a photo! I'd love to see it. Remember you can shop my outfit below! Special thanks to little Marcy for being the perfect accessory for this outfit! She's such a little model. Thank you so much for reading this week's post and come back next Sunday for the next one!
